Outreach Ministries
“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
At Christ Community Church we want to witness to our own community and to the ends of the earth. We do this by placing a priority on helping other ministries. We help with volunteer work and through regular financial support. Below you can find out more about each of the ministries we are working alongside. If you would like more information on how to volunteer, please contact us.
-Thank You for your service to our Lord
Local Ministries (Our Judea and Samaria)
Horsin Around: This ministry is an Equine program for our kids and adults with special needs in our community and surrounding counties. Horsin Around has a farm on Harrison Ferry Rd. They have riding events on the first Saturday of every month starting in April. Christ Community Church donates monthly and volunteers at events for this ministry.
The Hope Center: A place to provide hope for those who seek to live a better and more productive life through recovery and the teaching of life skills. It is a place where we offer people a hand up, not a hand out. It is all about giving hope to those in our community. Christ Community Church donates monthly to this ministry.
H.O.M.E. (Homeless of Mcminnville Effort) This ministry helps men, women, families that are homeless in our community. HOME helps them get back on their feet, or getting them to where they need to go. HOME supplies shelter, food, etc to the homeless in our community and takes really good care of them. Christ Community Church delivers meals monthly to this ministry.
The fuel program: Provides kids with food for weekend meals in the Warren County school system. Christ Community Church contributes 40 “fuel bags” for 10 kids once a month. We are one of the sponsors at Hickory Creek in supplying these bags.
The Hamilton Street Center: provides services to nurture, educate, tutor, and encourage the children who live in Warren County’s public housing. During the school year after school tutoring is available five days a week with some evening meals being provided, and there is Bible story hour each Friday. In addition, the center provides wholesome summer activities for the children and also addresses back to school needs. As a church, we donate monthly and help with back to school needs of the children.
Helping Hands Ministry: Located at 216 East Main Street, is primarily a ministry to people in Warren County who need food. It operates the county’s only soup kitchen for lunches four days a week, a monthly grocery pick, and periodic mobile food distributions partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank. It also operates the Heavenly Closet thrift shop, an elderly program two mornings a week, a children’s necessity school program, and a new start program for adults re-entering the workforce. As a church, we donate monthly and volunteer in passing out meals and groceries.
Global Ministries (Our ends of the earth)
Divine Care Ministries: Located in Uganda was founded in the late 1990s with the mission of making disciples. The focus has been to care for and educate children who are orphans and those with little family support. The ministry has grown to have 1,600 children in its care, having a residential school, clinic, and community outreach that trains Christian leaders committed to discipling new Christians. As a church, we donate monthly to help support this ministry.
Mountain Faith Mission: A faith-based non-profit organization with a mission to meet the spiritual, educational, medical, and physical needs of the Haitians in the Central Plateau regions of Haiti. Christ Community Church donates to this ministry on a monthly basis.
